Question by Dax: LLC question on filling out a W-9?
I have an LLC. On the W-9, there’s a space to check Limited Liability Company and then your check your tax classification as D (disregarded entity), c (corporation) or p (partnership). I figured that is where I check, but I don’t know which classification. I was thinking since I want to file individual with business taxes, I could check “D”… How off am I here? Am I completely wrong and do I need to check sole proprietorship since there is just one owner?

Best answer:

Answer by DeeDee
you are a corporation, and should have a EIN from the IRS to fill in.

What do you think? Answer below!

www.REIClub.com – Why Is a Real Estate Rental A Good Investment In A Down Market? Here’s Why Real Estate Rentals Are A Good Option For Real Estate Investors… Current Real Estate Rental Market Sources from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac expect the total number of renters households to increase by another 4.4 million in the next few years, from the already 37million. With the current Unemployment rate being at an all time high, more families are turning to renting than buying because of a) affordability b) flexibility. Buying a home has more liability especially for someone who is unemployed, so renting is safer. Right now, the rental property market is one of the only areas of real estate investing that has increased in the past year. It is expected to grow even more until property values decide to stabilize. One of the main reasons to rent properties is to collect on the appreciation, AND you also get pretty good cash-flow. Why Not Sell in a Down Market – Right now is NOT the best time to sell – Buyers market – Miss out on appreciation – Unless you bought the house during a down market – you’re selling for a loss Pros to Rental Properties – Passive Monthly Income – Commercial Rentals have Exponential Growth – Appearance – does not have to be as nice as “for sale” property – Good Tenant – maintains home and pays rent on time – Security – more options if market changes than stock or bank institutions – Tax Perks – Depreciation – annual tax deduction for the loss in value of …

Question by indicadle_2000: Income tax question for small business owners?
I am 22 years old and just started a business. I am doing about $ 25,000 in sales a month or about $ 300,000.00 a year in SALES. I was wondering what I can declare as business expenses and ofcourse about how much of my income percentage I should expect to pay in tax(the whole deal(social+income+federal+state)

Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by NightFire
This is impossible to answer without more specifics.

How many miles to and from work, is your office at home or a remote location, what items have been purchased specifically for the company, and thousands of other things that need to be answered (like how many dependents).

Grossing that much money, you need to go to a tax professional.

It is simply not possible to provide the answer needed without having your entire business laid bare here for the world to see (and it would take a lot more space than available here).

What do you think? Answer below!
